I like that ideal and has been one I strive for.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10485429047334057974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2841348142033509263.post-66154618840551315052017-07-14T17:03:52.589-05:002017-07-14T17:03:52.589-05:00The lies of statistics are shown in the median vs ...The lies of statistics are shown in the median vs the mean. The median is the most common value held, the mean is the average. The mean of the Roman Empire was wealthier than the Germanic tribes, yet the wealth was concentrated in the hands of a few noble houses, the Emperor, and the Church. The Germanic, Gothic, Hunnish tribes were far poorer by the mean, and far richer in the median than the Romans. The average northman was bigger and stronger because they were better nourished, their farms were farmed by free men and women, not slaves, so the military power of the "poorer" people was far greater, as it draws on a vast base of well fed, well armed free citizens, as opposed to a small elite in a vast sea of slaves. Ring breakers, gold haters lead nations of strong, proud, free; and capable. Ring lovers, rich lords ruled over vast seas of impoverished peasants or outright slaves. Like the West of today vs Saudi Arabia; the mean may be the same, but the median is different. When your economy shifts, and your middle class dissapears, you are sliding down the decay of empire, and your military defeat and extinction will most likely follow.

Strong nations are about distributed wealth, weak nations may have the same or even more gold, but in ever fewer hands.John T Mainerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13220981581395902200noreply@blogger.com
